South Somerset District Council covers the towns of Chard, Yeovil, Castle Cary, Somerton, Wincanton and Ilminster.
South Somerset District Council require all applicants to apply through the Home Energy Team at the Centre for Sustainable Energy.
There is a £50 admin fee charged by the Centre for Sustainable Energy to approve an application. QERB energy will reimburse this fee upon install.

ECO Grant Approval
The following criteria will allow South Somerset District Council to approve an applicant for an ECO grant. One of these must apply.
1. Fuel Poor Households.
Household income is less than the limits within the table below after paying mortgage/rent and fuel bills and the home’s EPC Rating is D or below (where there is no EPC we can assess the property against a list of criteria or produce an EPC).
2. Low Income & Vulnerable to the cold.
Households who have health conditions sensitive to the cold/damp will be eligible. These are:
Disability or long term limiting illness
Has attended hospital due to a fall
Mental health condition
Stroke or previous stroke
